Housing for Spanish Pouters
Been Raising Marcheneros for three years now. Is it uncommon to not be able to keep two or more pairs together? I notice on Spanish videos all birds appear to be kept separate. I can put one pair with other birds in a coop and seem to do ok. Put two or three pair of Marchers together they beat the crap out of each other. Cocks and hens! Are all Spanish like this. Was thinking about trying another breed.
Thanks

Re: Housing for Spanish Pouters
They do OK in a community breeding coop, but it should be large enough to deal with the fire these birds have.
Off the top of my head the Rafeno and Balear are the mild ones. I am sure there are more but I can't think of them and don't know all the breeds. There are 16 recognized Spanish Pouter breeds in Spain.
