Great Site!
Have you ever worked with this breed? I find them fascinating.

I've never kept them Mike, but they do intrigue me.

There was a guy here in the US (Larry Jolly I think) who was in the process of importing some from Holland I think. But I think he was only getting a pair.

This site has alot of info and pics on Escampadissa. In my oppinion this breed is often confused with the Catalonian Tumbler. To my knowledge catalonians were not breed to outfly hawks. Catalonians were mainly flown in the in and around the city of Barcelona and were kit flown from rooftops in a sport similar to Triganeri. Cats were also bred for color and pattern. Escampadissas on the other hand were bred for soloflying on the Baleares islands (Mallorca) and mainly bred to outfly hawks. There wasn't much emphases on color or pattern.

Hi Glassfeather, I have Catalonians but I no longer fly them due to the hawks.

That's a shame. They are lovely little pigeons the Cats.

HI to all.
Yes, the Escampadissa is a very unique pigeon breed.
I have this breed for about 2 years and I've been flying them since the begining of this year.

Thanks.
