Re: My laudino Breeders-American standard bred and Spanish standard bred

How about if 4-5 joined all at once? I'd be willing to pay dues to them if I knew I had a large enough voice. I'm in no way saying I want to change the whole club or it's objectives, but to just get it to lean towards the Spanish Pouters more.

You may want to find out what the dues are on the Laudino's Club here in Miami.

It would be nice to be included in the NP&CC with the Spanish pouters and have judges that could do a good job on the shows.

I hope to have some laudino to show in 2010 at the National Young Bird Show in Louisville KY. I am not sure how many laudino are shown there (I am sure just a few). But I have seen a few shown at the KY state Fair of all places. But if the standard is faulty then it seems silly to show against it.

I think you will get mixed results wherever you show in the US.. it's the same with Horseman. The main thing is to breed and show a "quality" pigeon. Even someone that don't know the standard can always spot a "quality" pigeon.

Alan,
I think you got a good point, even if you do not know a breed you can tell a good quality bird when you see one.

I agree. I can look at my laudino and tell which are strictly stock birds and which would be worth showing. Some birds just have an attitude that says "Come to me!"

The National Young Bird Show is a young bird only show, its NPA sanctioned. Its put on by the Louisville Pigeon Club every year. I think it is the last saturday in Oct. Here is the website..
http://www.nationalyoungbirdshow.com/

As far as I know its the biggest annual show in the Eastern part of the USA. They also have a very big sale section. The Central Cropper and Pouter club judges the pouters.
