I thought Faded might be responsible for the prominent flecks. I think you will have to segregate the spread factor out to make Faded easier to identify if it is there.

Do the flecks on a spread ash red increase with each molt as it does on the Almond family?

I've never seen any that did, I suppose it is possible though. Watch out Alan, the pigeon police have got their eye on you, it seems that you are not allowed to enjoy the fact that your pigeons bred a colour you weren't expecting. emoticon

I've had a couple of Horseman cоcks that are spread ash red split for blue with the bar pattern and they did not change.

If it don't and this Jiennense does, I would think that would be proof he is Faded. But do the flecks on Faded birds get greater with age as they do on Almond and Qualmond?

They should get their own hobby and leave mine alone... oh that's right, my hobby is their hobby. Oh well, I suppose they have nothing better to do. emoticon

Here's a result from the Blue Bar cоck and Rosada hen. They also produced a Blue Bar

This is the Rosada mother:

So much for my Jiennense. I went out this morning to find a predator had pulled their legs off! emoticon They were inside individual cages like the ones Foy's sells with 1/2" inch wire with a tray underneath. I have no idea what kind of animal did it. It's a mystery how it even did it. Some are still alive with no legs! emoticon

Thanks.. I was stunned today emoticon

Out of two pairs I have one dead, one with no legs - I put her down - one was sitting on the nest and wasn't touched, the other has one leg and one broken off, hanging by a thread.

I believe it was a Cat

They were such cool birds
